Our goal at Northwinds Mindfulness is to empower you to live fully, with and beyond chronic stress, pain and trauma so you can connect to what matters most in your life.
Living with stress, trauma, and pain
Life is full of challenges and many of us struggle with chronic stress, pain and trauma that can seem overwhelming, often leaving us feeling anxious, depressed, and disconnected from what matters most in our lives.
Reconnecting/taking control
Positive change is possible! Meditation and Mindfulness practices have been shown to be just as effective, and in some cases, more effective than many medications and therapeutic interventions used to manage these challenges.
More importantly, these practices can help you change your relationship with your stress, pain, and trauma, allowing you to live more fully.
Making sustainable change
Through a combination of teachings, guidance, and experiential exploration, we provide you with the tools to discover, develop and integrate these practices into your lives, so you can connect to what matters most to you.
A Bit About Us
We have a variety of offerings at Northwinds, from beginner’s programs for those just curious about all this mindfulness stuff to advanced offerings where you can take a deep dive into mindfulness and meditation, neuroscience, living, dying, gratitude and grief, and ancient wisdom traditions. You can even work one-on-one with us.
What we are not
A quick but important note. We are not medical professionals or therapists. While many students find our offerings therapeutic, it is not therapy. We encourage people to explore treatment or support options outside of Northwinds if they feel they need help. We are not a substitute for professional medical intervention. The good news? Our offerings almost always help and support other treatment modalities. In fact, many of our students are medical professionals who want to incorporate mindfulness into their clinical practices.
Our Promise
We promise to always provide a judgement free environment full of invitation and choice, creating as safe a space as possible.
You will never be asked or pressured to do or speak about anything outside of your comfort zone. Whether you wish to “dip your toes” or take a deep “dive” into meditation and mindfulness, we’re here to support you wherever you are on your mindful journey.
